A little bit Ben Wyatt, a little bit Abed Nadir, a little bit Oz, a little bit Maya Fey, and a whole lot of crazy-teenage-fangirl. Loving living every single day.

Sometimes I see pictures of snowy scenes and I get incredibly excited, like “Snow! Christmas! Hot chocolate! Presents! So pretty! Yay!”
And then it actually snows, and I’m like “fuck this it’s the worst ugh god I can’t feel my fingers and I’m all wet, god, jesus, fuck snow.”
And then once I’m inside again I’m like, “So pretty! :D”

another thing that just occurred to me
is the idea that annie might base her life around creating narratives in the same way that abed does
because when you think about what she apparently wanted in her relationship with troy in football feminism and you
it was really kind of high school musical
with troy as the super popular jock with ~hidden depths~ and annie as the quiet but beautiful girl who ~watches him from afar~ and ~is the only one who can really understand him~
when really annie doesn't seem to see the real troy until much later
but you know who does see the real troy
abed
anyways
and then annie/jeff
or annie's idea of annie/jeff
is just like the sparkliest shoujo that ever shoujoed
because in annie's mind jeff is the handsome older man with the mysterious past and annie is the blushing overemotional protagonist who falls madly in love with him
and what i'm trying to say is that neither of those are real life
they're a story
in the same way that abed sees everything that happens around him as a story
so basically the two of them both live in their own fantasty worlds
and as a side note troy kind of doesn't
that's not to say that troy barnes is like firmly grounded in reality or anything
but instead of constructing his own narratives troy's happy to live in whatever narrative abed constructs
which is why i think the 'once. upon. a. time.' stinger is such a perfect summary of their relationship
and why the s1 finale is so significant for them
because it's the first time troy indicates that he wants his relationship with abed to be something more than a story arc abed's already plotted out
but i digress
a lot
basically all i'm saying is that abed and annie are both telling stories
and while that means they can understand each other really well and have a great friendship
it's probably not the best foundation for them to run off and get married rn

Im sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of my doomed OTP

10 ships I love that probably won’t make it—>Annie X Abed
 Why they are probably doomed:
Dan Harmon has expressed a dedication in creating a mess of chemistry between every character pair in the show, and from the interviews, it sounds like Annie/Abed were just another pit stop in that department. In world, they are a bit of a tragic ship as well. Annie notices Abed the most when he plays the roles of other people. It’s a literal fairy tale romance, in which the romance can only exist in the context of the story that Abed/Annie are roleplaying at the given time.
Why they should be endgame:
Abed has a weakness for Annie. He doesn’t mess with her like he does with everyone else. In that same right, he is her only love interest thus so far who has actually been nice to her, as opposed to Jeff and Troy, who both have basically ignored or stomped on her feelings. Abed values Annie. He sat in an empty room for 26 hours just to make her happy. Now that is dedication. Moreso, Annie plays along with Abed’s games. She goes into his fantasy world where he is the most comfortable and she doesn’t question it for a second. In fact, she celebrates it. These two just have so much explosive chemistry, and they really are the best (and weirdest) fit in the entire Community ship spectrum.

I don’t know if this is just me desperately wanting Troy/Abed endgame, but I have never been able to see Annie and Abed working out for more than a few moments.  Annie literally has zero interest in him when he’s not roleplaying someone sexy.  I love their friendship, actually, because beyond the occasional Han Solo kisses, they have a very strong, very fun platonic relationship.  The truth is, Annie wants a Jeff Winger type, and Abed can’t be that for her in the long term.
Troy is perfect for Abed because he accepts him completely for all his weirdness and emotional distance - he’s even able to break it down, more than anybody else in Abed’s life.  I keep remembering that lovely quote about how Abed is comfortable with himself, so changing for the sake of other people isn’t such a big deal - and I believe that, but with Troy he doesn’t have to change, and I think that’s important.
Then again, there’s also Olivia’s horribly depressing theory about the “I love you” “I know” moment that might blow everything I just said about Troy and Abed out of the water, but I still think my point about Annie and Abed still stands.
